This mixtape is named after and dedicated to one of my oldest friends and ally's in music, Str8 Trip'N. Not only did Trip inspire me to start writing rhymes way back in 2001 as a young ass, skinny, nerdy kid from Fort McMurray, but he has also inspired a good many of the artists on this mixtape as well. Anybody who has worked with Str8 Trip'N will tell you that there is no other rapper like him out there. He is always striving for success and kept our hearts full with the drive to keep getting better and never give up in our chosen art. All of us can attribute a part of our whimsical wordsmithery to Trip's unique dedication and love for the art.

One of my most cherished high school memories is when Str8 Trip, FOWL, Mista Griddy and myself chose our rap names in my garage back in grade 10 (12 years ago). We formed a rap group called S.I.N. and took Composite High School by storm (along with shutting down some rival emcees). I remember taking the worst kind of group pictures with the boys and making beats on Fruity Loops while smoking blunts and getting drunk. Those were the days.
